Transforming Lives

What  is Sober Living?

Sober living houses, also called sober homes and sober living environments, are facilities that provide safe housing and supportive, structured living conditions for people successfully leaving drug and alcohol programs or those looking for a supportive environment to enhance their foundation in recovery. Sober Living Homes serve as a transitional environment between such programs and mainstream society.

Sober Living Homes are intended for people who are highly motivated to stay clean and sober. Step 3 is designed to enable our res idents to integrate their recovery into their lives. Typically, our residents are one step closer to transitioning to getting their own apartment, moving back in with their significant others or otherwise getting back to living self-sufficiently

While Step 3 doesn’t have a counselor on staff, we are extremely well connected with the treatment community and can personally refer our residents to almost any recovery resources they may need.

Is Step 3 Right for Me?

Step 3 is not a drug or alcohol treatment facility nor is it a detox center. We simply offer you a safe and welcoming community where you can live with other people in recovery who understand what you are going through. Similar to a halfway house or a recovery home, Step 3 Sober Living can give you an edge in creating your sober network of friends, opportunities for sober social activities, access to shopping, transportation, and a health club, all while developing healthy patterns in sobriety by having fun with sober people. While at Step 3 you can focus on addressing health issues, obtaining your vital documents, and employment, which all play a major role in your recovery.

Step 3 is a great solution for many people in recovery who want to live in a supportive and drug/alcohol free environment. A sober living environment is a continuation of the recovery process where you can build a foundation for recovery in a safe place. Being is this environment offers the best chance of being successful in recovery. For many people, Step 3 is a life-saving necessity.

We focus on providing a secure environment for men in starting their recovery journey. Our main goal is to support our residents and continue to carry the message of recovery. It is a place where people can learn to put into use valuable tools to help recover from substance use – One Day At A Time. After building a solid foundation for their personal recovery, we help our residents to become responsible and productive members of society.
